Since the last adventure we told you about, that trip to France looking for linen km.0 a little over a month ago, we have had small, great progress in the ethical and ecological children's fashion project "LITTLE SLOW FASHION".
We have taken 10 big steps!:
- We have found trusted suppliers of wonderful organic fabrics, although we are still looking for more. We will travel to Paris at the end of summer with this mission to the most important fabric fair in the world. Are you coming?
- We have a motivated and super professional team that works with enthusiasm to develop this project: design consultants, pattern makers, local workshops and artisans with golden hands.
- We began to be part of the local community related to the world of sustainable fashion, having participated in work sessions promoted by the Gipuzkoa Provincial Council and the Donosti City Council in relation to the definition of this concept. This week is FASHION WEEK IN GIPUZKOA, and we will attend many events, round tables, fashion shows and training led by, among others, the great Gema Gómez, from SLOW FASHION NEXT. What you want!
- As "entrepreneurs" at IMPACT HUB Donostia, we draw on the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Donostia, where a multitude of social and environmental projects take shape, many with synergies with ours, such as CIRCULAR HUB, among others. I can't alone, with friends I can!
- We have established contact and visited an exemplary company that recycles materials to transform them into ecological fabrics. Getting closer to the circular economy!
- We have been awarded a grant for our project that gives us a little more economic boost, and we have some first contacts with actors who can boost our growth. I hope everything materializes!
- We have our first patterns ! The crown jewel of all fashion collections! We keep working on it...
- We have started working on the design of our autumn-winter collection , which will be "soon-to-fashion", not "fast fashion"!
- At last! We have a commercial name for our brand; Right now we are working on logos, symbols... We will show you soon!
- We began to familiarize ourselves and make ourselves known on social networks and among the ecosystem of influential actors, which will allow us to reach our target audience: those fathers and mothers who, in addition to giving importance to fashion when dressing their little ones, , care about the social and environmental impact of the clothes their children wear. WHO MADE MY CLOTHES?
