Skin-healthy, a unique quality seal in Europe. Did you know that 3 out of 10 children suffer from atopic dermatitis? It may sound shocking, but the truth is that some Allergies occur when children's skin comes into contact with the textile material used in certain items of clothing.
At Twin&Chic, together with allergists from the Clínica Universidad de Navarra and chemists from the consulting firm Sigillum Knoledge Solutions , we have developed a unique quality seal in Europe that certifies the garments as skin-healthy, by having crossed and added variables that had not been taken into account until now.
For this reason, and after the recent celebration of two days as important as World Health Day and World Earth Day, we want to tell you more about our commitment to taking care of our children's skin and protecting their health. while we respect the environment through our production and design processes.

TWIN&CHIC IS SKIN-HEALTHY
At Twin&Chic we have defined that, for a garment to be considered skin-healthy , it must meet certain requirements regarding the textile , the chemicals used for its production and a fundamental factor for the skin: the design of the product.
The ultimate objective was to be able to guarantee that more of those 'minimum requirements' that are currently established in the fashion industry are met, apart from creating an endorsement that would allow promoting and recognizing brand garments made with the maximum guarantees for the skin of the ultimate consumer. In our case , the smallest ones!
THE EXPERT'S OPINION
Doctor Gastaminza , a doctor specializing in allergology and clinical immunology at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra , speaks to us with concern about the normality and frequency with which young children suffer from atopic dermatitis. Also the power that clothing has on it since clothing can make a patient worse... they are in contact for many hours, practically all of the day.
Gastaminza also emphasizes the importance of developing fabrics that not only do not damage the patients' skin, but can even be beneficial for the skin. It is a line of work with a lot of potential in the future.
On the other hand, Professor J.Sardina affirms that it has not been easy to develop Twin&Chic's own skin-healthy standard. To do this, they had to detect chemicals that could be aggressive on children's skin.
Finally, thanks to exhaustive research and continued work for 1 year with a team of experts, including those mentioned above, we have been able to certify the creation of this skin-healthy clothes seal.
